Our Appointments

We provide a wide range of services. There are a range of professionals who can look after you. You may be offered an appointment with an advanced nurse practitioner, physiotherapist, paramedic or clinical pharmacist rather than a GP.

This appointment may take place face-to-face at the practice, on the telephone or via video call.

Before you make an appointment to see your GP, think about what other services might be able to help.

  • go to a pharmacy for advice and treatment for minor conditions.
  • go to your local urgent care centre for treatment of strains, sprains and flesh wounds.
  • call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk if you have an urgent medical problem, but you’re not sure what to do.
  • visit a sexual health service for testing for sexually transmitted infections and contraception advice.

You do not have to make an appointment or register for these services.

The nearest urgent care centre is:

St Charles Hospital
Exmoor Street
London W10 6DZ

The Urgent Care Centre is staffed by Clinical Practitioners who provide care for patients aged 2 years and older.. The practitioners can assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of minor acute illnesses, as well as manage acute wounds through this service.

In addition to the Walk-In Centre, they offer an appointment service specifically for wound care and dressing changes. For initial wound treatment, patients must attend as a walk-in. If your wound is suitable for ongoing care at the Urgent Care Centre, you will then be able to book follow-up appointments.

X-Ray Service Available at St Charles Hospital:

  • Monday to Sunday: 08:30-18:10 (closed 13:30-14:00)

Please note only limb x-rays provided for acute injuries – no  head, face, neck, chest, back, hip or abdominal X-rays available.

Directions:

The nearest public transport links are:

  • By tube: Ladbroke Grove (Hammersmith & City line)
  • By bus: 7, 23, 52, 70, 228, 295, 316, 452

GP Surgery Appointment Types

  • GP to Book: This option is for GPs to schedule follow-up appointments for their patients, which can be conducted via telephone, face-to-face, or to discuss test results. It helps ensure continuity of care.
  • Buddy to Book: Each GP has a designated “buddy” GP. If a GP runs out of their own booking slots, they can ask their buddy to schedule a routine follow-up appointment on their behalf.
  • Routine Slots: These are used when the duty GP has triaged an appointment as routine or when a patient requests a routine appointment, subject to availability.

Missed Appointments Policy

We understand that sometimes you may not be able to attend your booked appointment. If you cannot attend, help us by letting us know as far in advance that you cannot make your appointment. This means we can offer the appointment to another patient who needs it.

  • If you do not attend an appointment, our team will be in touch with you to ask why.
  • If you regularly miss your appointments, we may have to consider removing you from our practice.

Thank you for help in making sure we have enough appointments for all our patients.

Out of Hours

When the Practice is closed, please call NHS 111

There may be occasions when, due to unforeseen circumstances, our capacity at the surgery is limited. We also understand that some patients may require appointments outside of our standard opening hours.

If we are unable to accommodate you on-site, you may be offered an appointment at one of the following nearby practices:

  • Lanark Medical Centre
  • Paddington Green Health Centre
  • South Westminster Centre
  • Connaught Square Practice
  • St John’s Wood Medical Centre
